"Missy" is available for rehoming. Missy is a very pretty 10 year old bay mare, whom we purchased at auction in February 2008. Missy is a breeder's cup nominated, California bred mare who raced four times, injured her left front knee, and has since been used as a sporthorse broodmare (having had three foals) and as a lesson horse. Missy has good ground manners, and loves to be groomed and played with. She is serviceably sound for walk/trot trail or pleasure riding, under Western or English tack, by all but a complete beginner. Missy is also suitable as a walk/trot lesson horse. She should not be jumped. Missy is up to date on vaccinations, de-worming, farrier, and teeth. Note: Missy is a cribber, however she does not crib with her cribbing muzzle on - an "open" and kind muzzle which permits her to eat and drink, but not to crib.
Thanks are due to our friends John Chun, Donna Powell, Christine Picavet, and Charmaine Jens for donating funds to Tranquility Farm towards Missy's purchase price at auction, and the costs of her 30 day quarantine. As always, we a grateful to Kathy Fischer for providing wonderful foster care for Missy, and to Jackie Feenstra for providing riding and retraining services.
Rehoming Fee: $750
