Southern California Thoroughbred Rescue

All of SCTR's volunteers reside in the Inland Empire and high desert areas of Southern California. We utilize a number of foster homes throughout the Southern California region, as the thoroughbreds we purchase await new permanent homes. We also seek to permanently place our thoroughbreds in the Southern California region; local placement facilitates the status updating and monitoring of rehomed horses, and reduces the burden that we place on rescue efforts and adoption networks elsewhere in the state and country. However, we will consider rehoming out of our region to prospective adopters with outstanding references, where the prospective home can be visited by an out of state contact. All of the livestock auctions that we attend are in Southern California.
